Jeff Parker and Pete Woods Signing

Had a great time over at "I Like Comics" for a signing with Jeff Parker and Pete Woods. Jeff is working on Future Quest and Batman '66. Pete is working with Dark Horse on Cryptocracy which just released the first issue. Both of these are great guys... fun to chat with and are great at what they do.   -Jeremy

Brian Michael Bendis and David Marquez Signing

So this was pretty cool... with the release of Civil War II another local comic book shop had a signing with locals Brian Michael Bendis and David Marquez! I was still pretty tired from Fan Expo Dallas.. but I also had these Civil War II variants from Dallas that were just begging to be signed. :) It was a lot of fun... those are guys are really a hoot. Fan Expo Dallas, Day 3

This day was awesome. After meeting Frank Miller and the Dark Knight III team yesterday during the Platinum Frank Miller Experience... we started this day out with the Private Signing. We took all of our submissions over to Frank's hotel and were invited up to his hotel room.  We were able to chat with the DKIII Team while Frank signed away on books:     After the private signing and bidding them all farewell we headed back to the Fan Expo Dallas convention. Fan Expo Dallas, Day 2

Today was a better day. Autographs are pretty expensive. Probably too expensive for the average family. So I pretty much avoided the celebs today and focused on comic artists. Got a lot of books signed. The argument for and against artists charging for signing comics is interesting. On one the hand: if they charge for signing books you are like 'Dang it costs me $200 to get 20 books signed...  Isn't DC/Marvel paying you already? Didn't I pay you already when I bought your book? This feels like 'hey thanks for paying me by buying my books... Now pay me again...

Fan Expo Dallas, Day 1

Wow Exclusives were extremely difficult to get. Even with a VIP pass we had trouble getting to the merch booths early enough. But first things first. We flew in to Dallas Thursday. To get settled a day before the show and get a head start on convention. The con officially opened at 4pm today. So I took my time, had coffee, ate breakfast with a publisher friend of mine. Around noon I hear that the con has a store outside the convention hall. Wow, I think, I hope they aren't selling exclusives. So I pack up my bag and head...
