Rose City Comic Con this year was a blast. Amazing how many talented writers and artists live right here in Portland. Due to that abundance of awesome talent at this show we had a very large number of submissions of comics to get signed for our customers.Brian Michael Bendis ("Jessica Jones"), Terry Dodson (variant cover artist on "Superwoman", "Wonder Woman", "Dark Knight III", and more), David Finch ("Batman"), Jimmy Palmiotti ("Harley Quinn" and "Jonah Hex"), Amanda Palmer ("Harley Quinn"), Charles Soule ("Inhumans" and "Lando"), Mike Mignola ("Hellboy"), Stan Sakai ("Usagi Yojimbo") and so very many more.I must say that every...

Comic Book "Flipping"

As we are one day away from attending the local comic book convention, Rose City Comic Con... once again the monster topic known as comic book "flipping" has reared its gruesome head. For those readers who are unaware I will first start with: what is 'flipping'? It used...

Really impressed with these Neal Adams variant covers that came out last week. I've always been a huge fan of Neal Adams. When I think of Batman or Green Lantern its his artwork that pops into my head. Neal will be appearing at Dallas Fan Days this weekend so we will be getting some of his variants signed and graded. Those will be posted either here and/or in our eBay store when we get those back. In two weeks we have Wizard World Portland as our next event to attend. That looks to be a great lineup. Fans of Alias,...

Star Wars The Force Awakens opens this Friday. Hard to believe that the day is nearly here. As such it seemed appropriate that I get caught up on my Star Wars reading. Star Wars 13, Darth Vader 13, and Star Wars Annual 1. Wow. I'm not usually very fond of Annuals... but the Star Wars Annual 1 was... brilliant! It was original, fun, exciting, new, fresh... I could go on and on. There have been so many "lightsabers" as of late (the prequels, Star Wars, and Darth Vader titles) it was nice to step away from it. Here is a...
